Chester, NY—Maxx Performance Inc. announces it has received kosher certification for the following microencapsulated ingredients: Ascorbic Acid,
Citric Acid, Fumaric Acid, Malic Acid, Potassium Chloride, Sodium Bicarbonate, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Diacetate, Calcium Propionate and Sorbic Acid.
Now multiple applications, such as baked goods, nutritional or dietary supplements, confections, spice blends and meat products can utilize the benefits of
microencapsulated ingredients with kosher certification.
Whether a customer needs to increase the shelf life of baked goods such as flour tortillas, create a fizzy tingle sensation in a confection with added nutritional
qualities, stabilize a raw ingredient for use in a dietary supplement, or overcome hygroscopicity and prevent ingredient interaction, Maxx Performance ingredients
now offer the capability to meet those quality and performance standards with kosher certification.
"The beauty of microencapsulation is that it stabilizes formulations by preventing raw ingredient interactions, while preventing off-flavors common to various
nutritional or functional components. Not only that, it saves money and makes the ingredient label more consumer friendly. We are in the business of helping
manufacturers overcome their processing challenges," says Winston A. Samuels, Ph.D., President and CEO of Maxx Performance.
"Formulators often must overdose, turn to secondary ingredients added solely for the purpose of counteracting side reactions of primary ingredients," Samuels
continues. "Or they have to weigh the expense of padding the vitamin and nutrient content in formulation to protect against degradation and ensure potency
throughout the product shelf life. Microencapsulation eliminates the need to add these extra ingredients, to create a product with a shorter ingredient label
and much healthier profile–nutritionally and economically."
